What is EMDR Therapy?

Over the course of my career, my personal philosophy around healing has evolved in to a very simple (but certainly not easy) approach and  EMDR is an excellent tool for the practical implementation.

 

I encourage all of my clients to identify the source of the problem in their life, we then work together to increase awareness and shift perspective.  This process leads the client to increased insight and personal awareness, which assists clients in making lasting change and relief from distress.

EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It is a form of therapy that helps people heal from trauma or other distressing life experiences. EMDR therapy is an integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and used to resolve many issues and challenges.

 

It is an empirically supported treatment for acute and chronic posttraumatic stress disorder. EMDR can be extremely helpful in helping clients overcome everything from minor anxieties to major trauma.  

EMDR therapy has helped countless people of all ages to resolve psychological distress.
